SUBJECT: Repeat of Courses for GPA Recalculation
PURPOSE: Establishes conditions and
procedures for repeating courses for the
purpose of
recalculating GPA.
REGULATION: Students may repeat a any course
and request a recalculation of GPA
as
many times as they choose.
CONDITIONS:
1.
Course
registration is required in order to repeat a course.
2.
Appropriate
tuition and fees will be assessed for repeated courses.
3.
Upon
completion of the repeated course, the student may submit to the Registrar’s
Office a “Repeated Course Notification” form indicating the preceding and last
attempted repeated course.
4.
Upon
receipt of the Repeated Course Notification form, the Registrar’s Office will
place a repeat notification (“R”) on the student transcript indicating the repeated
course and make a GPA adjustment.
5.
Requests
for Repeat Course Notification on courses that have increased in credit between
the student’s prior attempt and last attempt will be allowed. A credit for credit match will be used in the
recalculation of the GPA.

NOTE: Grades of “W” “I”
“X” “UG” do not apply in instances of repeated
courses.
7.
The
last course attempt (subsequent earned grade, associated credits and points)
will be used to recalculate the cumulative GPA.
The preceding course grade, associated credits and points will be removed
from the cumulative GPA, but will remain on the student transcript in the
appropriate term.
